Built by women. Grown by community.
A grassroots organization rooted in lived experience, solidarity, and the unshakable belief that every woman deserves to thrive.

Our History
The Brazilian Women's Group (BWG) began in 1995 when a small group of Brazilian immigrant women in the Boston area came together to share their stories, support one another, and confront the challenges of life in a new country.
What started as informal gatherings grew into a powerful grassroots organization — one that has stood with thousands of women over three decades, fighting for immigrant rights, workers' dignity, health access, and leadership opportunities.
Today, BWG remains community-led and community-powered — proof that when women organize, communities transform.
